Winterset took full advantage of six Perry errors to score 13 of their 14 runs after two outs were made in an inning en route to a 14-0 win in five innings of Raccoon River Conference baseball Wednesday.
Keghan West started for Perry but received little defensive help in taking the loss on the hill, with the Jay offense accounting for only one hit and one walk while at bat.
Winterset (13-4, 6-3) scored once in the first inning and then six times in the third. Three Husky runs in the fourth and four in the fifth helped end the game early.
Casey Young had two doubles for the guests, with Justin Hackett driving in six runs with a single and a double while Easton Darling had a single and a double.
Perry finishes their regular season 2-13 overall and 0-8 in RRC play, their second consecutive winless trip through conference play. The Bluejays visit league foe Ballard Friday at 7 p.m. in the first round of the postseason.
