I 80 eastbound closed for jackknifed semi leaking diesel fuel

Eastbound traffic on U.S. Interstate 80 is being diverted off the interstate at the 110 mile marker while workers try to remove from the roadway a jackknifed semi-tractor trailer leaking diesel fuel.

The eastbound lanes of U.S. Interstate 80 at the 110 mile marker in De Soto were closed shortly after 11 a.m. Monday when a semi- tractor trailer hauling diesel fuel jackknifed near the bridge overpass and completely blocked the eastbound lanes.

The incident occurred at the interchange of U.S. Highway 169 and U.S. Interstate 80 in De Soto.

Diesel fuel is reportedly leaking from the semi-tractor trailer.

All eastbound interstate traffic is being diverted off the interstate at the 110 mile marker while Iowa State Patrol, Dallas County Deputy Sheriffs and De Soto firefighters work on clearing the obstruction.
