The 100+ People for Perry charity group returns to in-person meetings when it holds its 21st quarterly meeting Monday, May 24 at 7 p.m. at La Poste.

Since its founding, the group has contributed $147,600 to 21 local non-profit projects.

The mission of 100+ People for Perry is “to invest in Perry’s future through supporting current charities/non-profits/worthy projects which advance the quality of life,” according to the group’s press release.

The group said its goal is to make four large donations each year, which will impact the Perry community. Each contribution stays 100% in the community. No national charities are considered. Only members may attend meetings and propose projects.

In order to qualify for funding from 100+ People for Perry, a charity/non-profit/worthy cause must be a 501 (c)(3) or sponsored by a 501 (c)(3), be project based and benefit the Perry community. Non-profit organizations may be found at https://www.guidestar.org/NonprofitDirectory.aspx.

Projects should be presented according to the following guidelines:

  • Project: Who is your sponsoring 501 (c)(3)? Explain your project’s details.
  • Funding: What are your current funding sources? your potential funding sources?
  • Summary: How will your project advance the quality of life in the community and the betterment of Perry?
