A vehicle left the roadway of eastbound Iowa Highway 141 near the Moran curve south of Woodward Saturday night, leaving the driver with facial lacerations, according to public safety radio traffic.
The incident occurred about 9:45 p.m. in 15300 block of Iowa Highway 141 Diagonal.
One person was transported to Iowa Methodist Medical Center by Dallas County EMS.
The badly damaged vehicle came to rest in the inside ditch of westbound Iowa Highway 141. Law enforcement officers were seen searching the presumed path of the vehicle.
The Dallas County Sheriff’s office, Woodward First Responders and Woodward Volunteer Fire Department also responded.
Investigators are seeking to determine whether alcohol was a factor in the single-vehicle accident.
