At least one person was transported with injuries Tuesday afternoon from the scene of a two-vehicle accident on Iowa Highway 141 at Eighth Street in Perry.
The incident occurred about 5:30 p.m. and involved a Toyota Camry and a Chrysler LX minivan.
The circumstances of the collision are under investigation at this hour by the Perry Police Department.
The Perry First Responders, Perry Volunteer Fire Department and Dallas County EMS also responded to the incident.
Air bags deployed in both vehicles, and emergency personnel used a power tool to remove the driver’s side door of the minivan in order to extract the occupant, who was taken to Iowa Methodist Medical center in Des Moines.
