Interstate-35 knocks out W-G boys

The Woodward-Granger boys had their season end Monday with a loss to Interstate-35.

PANORA — Interstate-35 was a 62-44 victor over Woodward-Granger Monday in a boys Class 2A Substate 8 first round game.

The Roadrunners improved to 7-15 on the season with the win while the Hawks were eliminated after a 1-21 campaign.

Dane Polich had 21 points, Collin Nardini 14 points and Josh Hultman nine points for W-G, as only three Hawks entered the scoring ledger. The team was without leading scorer Brody Nardini.

Polich had 10 rebounds and Hultman seven for W-G. No additional statistical information from the game was available.

Don David, Jack Meusburger, Paden Drake and Nate Moser were all seniors for W-G this year, with all having Monday’s loss their final game as a Hawk cager.
