Funeral Services for Jack Modlin, 93, of Dawson will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 25 at Murdock Funeral Home in Perry. Jack passed away Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, at the Rowley Masonic Home in Perry.
Burial will be in Violet Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin Wednesday, Feb. 24 at 1 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 5-7 p.m. at Murdock Funeral Home. Memorials will be directed to the American Diabetes Association and may be left at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Modlin, of Dawson, now residing at the Rowley Masonic Home; one son, Steven (Jane) Modlin of Dawson; one daughter, Joanne Modlin of Dawson, now residing at Rowley Masonic Home; one brother, Lester “Buck” Modlin of Minburn; one son-in-law, Terry White of Shady Shores, Texas; four grandchildren, Adam Modlin and Zach Modlin of Dawson, Jennifer (Karl) Atencio and Kristi White of Texas; and two great-grandchildren, Mychal and Landry Hill of Denton, Texas.
Preceding Jack in death were his parents, Earl B. and Helen (Kelly) Modlin; one daughter, Janet White; and three brothers, Dave, George and Bob Modlin.
