Janette “Jan” Friedrichsen, 61, of Gowrie and formerly of Perry passed away Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023, at Aspire of Gowrie in Gowrie, Iowa.
Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 6 from 12-6 p.m., with family present from 12-2 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home and Cremation Care in Perry. Burial will be at the Peoples Cemetery at a later date.
Janette “Jan” Marie Friedrichsen was born Jan. 4, 1962, in Perry, Iowa, to Eugene William and Betty Mae (Rothfus) Friedrichsen.
She graduated from Perry High School and then attained a liberal arts degree at DMACC in Boone.
Jan worked at various jobs in Perry and Des Moines.
She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Bouton.
Jan loved sewing, cross stitching, crafts and smoking.
In death she rejoins her parents, Eugene and Betty Friedrichsen; and a brother, Gary Friedrichsen.
Left to cherish Jan’s memory are her siblings, Karen (Dick) Henson, Donna Wells, Norma (Charlie) Seibert, Robert (Lisa) Friedrichsen and John (Beth) Friedrichsen; and numerous nieces; nephews; great-nieces; and great-nephews.
