Perry Elementary teachers chose Bluejay Leaders each month, and those selected for January were recently announced. Bluejay Leaders are chosen for displaying respectful, responsible and safe behaviors at school.
The fifth grade Bluejay Leaders include, in the front row, Evelyn Zamora, Isabelle Trotter, Ayleen Tamez and Bryant Jacobs. Standing in the middle row are Mayrin Cerna, Colby Carhill and Brandon Jacobs, with Jose Clemente-Casas, Eli Castro and Mineli Rodriguez in the top row.
Leland Meis, Logan Rouse, Jozie Wolken, Lilly Hulgan and Matthew Ahtar stand in the first row of the Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten Bluejay Leaders, with Grace Kanealy, Izzy Molina, Emma Bendixon and Jeremy Toms in the second row. In row three are Genevieve Bailey, Dau Vier Smith, Faith Nelson and Anthony Mayancela.
A dozen students from the first grade were named Bluejay Leaders. Chosen were, in front, Addy Lopez-Cruz, Ephraim Huakau, Jessica Banales and Quentin Mintun, with Lilly Villalobos, Andrew Hix, Rahaw Gebrehiwet and Josue Hernandez in the middle while Tirsa Reyes, Rafael Santos, Tucker Holmes and Aylin Gonzalez stand in the top row.
The first row of the second grade Bluejay Leaders is, from left, Kian Casebolt, Albert Parlanti, Atlee Sass and Marbella Silva-Lopez. In the middle row are Yordanos Okubazgi, Franky Agustin-Marroquin, Alan Martinez and Skarleth Drahos with Dallas Channell, James Mickles and Hunter Vasseau at rear. 
Happy to step out of class for a group photo are Bluejay Leaders from the third grade. In front are Aurora Sheehy, Zemarie Ortiz, Arsema Sium and Kaylin Snyder, with Jadiel Mendendez-Barrios, Josue Porras and Harper Welch in the second row. In back are both Dewey Cruz-Sanchez and Ryan Hinders.
