NEWTON, Iowa — The Perry High School swim team traveled to Newton Tuesday in order to swim against Oskaloosa and Newton, Colfax, Mingo and Pella (NCMP). The final scores were:
NCMP 104- Perry 52
Oskaloosa 77, Perry 72
NCMP 114, Oskaloosa 43
“It was a very close meet between Oskaloosa and Perry,” said PHS Head Coach Jean Dowd. “There were lots of good races overall tonight.”
The meet was swum once but scored three ways. The meet was swum in a meter pool, which is much longer than a normal pool that high school meets are usually held in. SC= Short Course
