OGDEN, Iowa — Perry had nine girls in action Saturday at a girls invitational. No team scores were kept, with wrestlers assigned to four-grappler pods, giving each competitor three matches.
Hailey Peterson, Julie Maylum and Reese Baxter all finished 2-1. Peterson recorded pins in 4 minutes, 18 seconds and 3:47, with Maylum producing pins in 3:52 and 51 seconds while Baxter needed 58 ticks for one pin and 18 seconds for the other.
Mercedes Ponce, Taylor Atwell and Amy Aguirre-Eugenio were all three 1-2 overall, with each victory coming on a decision.
Chelsea Mickles wrestled twice, finishing 1-1 with a decision while Charity Mickles and Martha Turrado were both unable to record a victory in any of their three individual matches.
