Jefferson PD lands Alliant Energy Foundation grant

The Jefferson Police Department received a $1,500 grant Friday from the Alliant Energy Foundation. The funds will help the department to update emergency lighting equipment in one patrol vehicle.

The Jefferson Police Department received a $1,500 grant Friday from the Alliant Energy Foundation, according to Jefferson Police Department Captain Health A. Enns.

The funds will be used to update emergency lighting equipment in one of the department’s patrol vehicle.

“The new lighting equipment will not only keep the officers safe in the patrol vehicle as they are responding to an emergency but the public as well,” Enns said. “Thank you, Alliant Energy Foundation, for enhancing our department’s safety. The equipment will be put to good use.”
