  • While conducting business door checks, an officer located an open door at 1108 N. Elm St. The business was secured by the officer.
  • An officer assisted a Greene County Deputy with an assault reported at 1295 Orchard Ave.
  • Information was provided to an officer about a possible attempted burglary to a local business overnight. The officer is investigating.
  • Craig Kinsey caught a stray dog at 804 W. Lincoln Way. The animal was placed in the Jefferson Animal Holding Facility.
  • Duane Forkner reported a suspicious vehicle parked in the 800 block of W. Lincoln Way.
  • An officer assisted a motorist experiencing vehicular problems in the 1400 block of N. Elm Street.
  • Juvenile arrest warrants were requested for a 17-year-old Jefferson male for first-offense possession of a controlled substance-marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Test results returned positive on an investigation that began April 13 in the 700 block of S. Walnut Street at Kelso Park.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
