  • A traffic stop was performed at Lincoln Way and Elm Street, resulting in Christopher Yeager of Jefferson being issued a citation for failure to obey a stop sign.
  • The Greene County Hospital emergency room reported a cat bite taking place in town. An officer spoke to the bite victim and learned she was walking her dog in the 1000 block of W. Adams Street when a neighboring cat broke free from a leash and attempted to attack her dog. She stepped in between the two animals and received scratches on her legs. The officer is working to gain proof of vaccinations from the owner of the cat.
  • Katrina Zieser reported receiving a scam phone call requesting money to end a lawsuit against her. She did not incur a loss and ended the call.
  • Tim Cadden spoke with an officer about concerns he had with ride safety protocols this weekend at Bell Tower.
  • An officer spoke with two juvenile females playing on the gravel piles at the Greene County Secondary Roads Department near Grimmell Road and Wall Street. The officer sent the two on their way.
  • The Hy-Vee pharmacy requested a welfare check on a man in the 1200 block of Westwood Drive. The store employees were not able to reach the subject all day. An officer made contact with the man, who was fine and had been sleeping.
