  • A retail store reported a person wrote nine checks, totaling $1,330, that were returned by the financial institution. An officer is investigating.
  • Imagine the Possibilities workers requested a welfare check on a male in the 1000 block of W. Adams Street. An officer made contact with the person and determined he was fine.
  • Home State Bank requested assistance from an officer with a vehicle that has been in their parking lot at 115 W. State St. for several weeks.
  • The Jefferson Fire Department assisted city workers with a fire in the leaf pile at the dump site at Daubendiek Park.
  • Kyle Hack requested officers to conduct a welfare check on a female in the 500 block of W. State Street. An officer made contact with the juvenile female and her parents and determined she was fine.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
