Jerry “Buddy” Payton, 68, of Omaha, Neb., and formerly of Perry and Lake Panorama passed away Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016, at his home in Omaha.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 12 at 11 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Perry. Visitation will be Sunday, Sept. 11 from 2-5 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home in Perry. Burial will be in the Violet Hill cemetery in Perry at a later date.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Deborah Payton of Omaha; children, Todd (Kari) Mosser of Lincoln, Neb., Matt (Jennifer) Mosser of Omaha and Mitch (Samantha) Mosser of Omaha; and his siblings, Steve Payton of Boone and Cheryl (Louis) Swanson of Jefferson.
