Funeral services for John Richard Roberts, 82, of Perry will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 5 at the First Baptist Church in Perry. Visitation will be at Hastings Funeral Home in Perry Thursday, May 4 from 4-8 p.m., with the family present from 6-8 p.m. Burial will be in the Violet Hill Cemetery following the services. A luncheon will be served at the First Baptist Church following the burial.
Mr. Roberts died Monday, May 1, 2017, at the Perry Lutheran Home.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor; son, Kelly (Jessica) Roberts of Prescott, Ariz,; daughters, Shona (Mike Harvey) Roberts of Ames, Elaine (Scott) Stokely of Grimes and Lorri (Troy) Brandt of Adel; 13 grandchildren; two sisters, Katie Edmondson of Perry and Margaret (Smitty) Smith of Indiana.
