Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Specialist Mary Krisco will be on hand to explain why eating more fruits and vegetables is one of the most important things you can do for your health.

Krisco, who holds both M.D. and R.N. degrees, will lead this family-friendly workshop in which participants will learn the nutritional and health benefits of eating berries — all while munching on multi-berry pizza.

As adults learn how to choose and prepare the best tasting berries and fruits, children will enjoy berry-related activities, including crafts and coloring.

The cost to attend is $2 per household. For more information or to register, contact Forest Park Museum at 515-465-3577 or conservation@dallascountyiowa.gov.

ThePerryNews.com will be berry pleased if you becomes a $5-per-month donor. One-time donations are also welcome.
