Christopher Wayne Branson, 30, of Salem, Iowa, was arrested on a Dallas County warrant Friday for third-degree sexual abuse and possession of a depiction of a minor in a sex act.

A Salem, Iowa, man was transported Thursday from the Kansas City Jail in Kansas City, Mo., to the Dallas County Jail, where he was arrested on a warrant for sex crimes allegedly committed against a Waukee juvenile in August 2018.

Christopher Wayne Branson, 30, of 1859 335th St., Salem, Iowa, was arrested on a warrant for third-degree sexual abuse and possession of a depiction of a minor in a sex act.

An investigation by the Waukee Police Department began in May 2019 into the victim’s allegations of sexual molestation by Branson, the victim’s brother-in-law.

In a search “of Branson’s cell phone, multiple nude pictures of the victim were found in a file,” according to court records. A Dallas County warrant for his arrest was issued June 21, 2019.

Branson is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $20,000 cash-only bond. He is scheduled for arraignment Oct. 25 in Dallas County District Court.
