JEFFERSON — Wild Rose Jefferson today announced country icon and pop crossover singer Kenny Rogers will headline the casino’s Aug. 7 grand opening show.
“Kenny Rogers is a legendary entertainer, and we wanted a performer of his stature to celebrate what the people of Greene County and the surrounding area have accomplished over the past two years,” said Gary Kirke, founder and chairman of Wild Rose.
The three-day grand opening starts Friday, August 7, at 10 a.m. with “A Token of Our Appreciation Giveaway.” The first 200 people will receive a commemorative .999 percent fine silver, custom-minted Wild Rose token.
Rogers will perform on Friday, August 7, at 7:30 p.m. in the Greene Room Event Center. Tickets go on sale today on the Wild Rose website. The ticket price is $41.50.

Friday August 7
- First Dice Roll — craps table, 5 p.m.
- Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting, 6 p.m., main entrance (weather permitting, rain location Promenade)
- Brad Morgan, Coaches Corner, 9 p.m. The show is free; no ticket necessary.
- Fireworks Extravaganza, front parking lot, 10 p.m.
Saturday August 8
- $5,000 “A Token of Our Appreciation Drawing” — Sign up for Players Club and receive an entry for the drawing. Tokens and cash prizes awarded hourly from 1 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on the casino floor.
- Brad Morgan, Greene Room Event Center at 8 p.m. The show is free; no ticket necessary.
- Doors open at 7 p.m.
