Home teams finished 20-8 in the quarterfinals of the prep football playoffs Friday.

Perry will host Norwalk in a Class 4A District 5 grid contest at Dewey Field Friday, with the kick off of the varsity game moved forward to 7 p.m. A freshman game will still be held beginning at 4:45 p.m.

Due to roster size issues and concerns over player health and safety, the game will be played with a traditional 12-minute first quarter, but the final three frames will each be eight minutes in duration.

Football and band seniors will be honored before the home bleachers prior to the start of the varsity contest, with cheerleader and cross country seniors will be noted at halftime, with a band performance to follow.

Perry will conclude their season Oct. 15 with a trip to Groeppinger Field in Boone. As of press time, kick time against the Toreadors remains 7:30 p.m.
