Kittens cavorted freely Saturday morning at the Perry Perk coffeehouse during the Raccoon River Pet Rescue’s Kittens and Koffee event.
Some half-dozen felines — and a pair of canine security guards — interacted with an equal number of kittenish children while the adults sipped fresh Perry Perk coffee and nibbled on crumpets in air-conditioned comfort before rejoining the Latino Festival festivities outdoors.
Raccoon River Pet Rescue Director Lexi Linten was on hand to introduce the adoptable kittens, with applications forms ready in order to begin the forever-home process.
