Angie Farley of rural Perry bought several take-away servings of turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce and dinner roll.

The St. Patrick’s Knights of Columbus hosted their annual community turkey dinner Sunday. By noon they had serve more than 100 diners, with provisions in place for as many more again.

John McGee of Perry, the current chair or Worthy Knight of the St. Patrick’s Knights of Columbus St. Jude Council 1243, said he was “pleased with the turnout so far,” and a random selection of diners found general approval of the quality of the food.

The pies in particular practically flew off the serving tables.
