Knights of Columbus serve large crowd at first Lenten fish fry

Upwards of 200 people passed through the serving line in the St. Patrick Catholic School gymnasium Friday night at the first fish fry of the Lenten season, sponsored by the Knights of Columbus St. Jude Council 1243.

The 90-minute banquet served up fried fish and fish tacos, baked potatoes, French fries, coleslaw, desserts and drinks.

The meal was prepared and served by the Knights, with assistance from students of St. Patrick Catholic School.

The Lenten meals will continue each Friday from 5:30-7 p.m. through March 31.

The Perry Ministerial Association is also holding Lenten services each Tuesday at midday followed by lunch.
