Knights’ Tootsie Rolls raise funds for intellectually disabled kids

Grocery shoppers in Perry might have seen a brace of Knights of Columbus with Tootsie Rolls in hand Saturday morning. The St. Pat’s group is holding its annual fundraising drive for children with intellectual disabilities.

Knights gave out the free candies and accepted free-will donations from 9 a.m. to noon at the Fareway and Hy-Vee stores in Perry, and Knights also manned the gates of Dewey Field Friday night during the Perry High School football team’s thrilling Cow Bell victory over rivals Greene County High School.
