Perry’s two Kum & Go stores have been sold to a Texas fuel distributor and are scheduled to change hands Oct. 8.

A source close to the transactions said TC Fuels LP of Atlanta, Texas, has purchased five central Iowa Kum & Go stores, including Perry’s stores at 1115 Iowa Highway 141 and 1219 First Ave.

Corporate representatives from TC Fuels LP and Kum & Go did not return ThePerryNews.com’s calls Wednesday for comment on the impending ownership change.

According to Bloomberg News, TC Fuels LP operates as a multi-branded distributor of fuels. The company, founded in 1959, also operates a fleet of transports and offers its products to marketers and facility operators in the U.S. Convenience stores are also part of the TC Fuels LP portfolio.

With more than 400 stores across the Midwest, Des Moines-based Kum & Go is expected to open its new $151 million, 160,000-square-foot corporate headquarters this fall at the Krause Gateway Center at 1459 Grand Ave. in Des Moines.
