Missed scoring opportunities in the first half came back to haunt the Perry girls soccer squad Tuesday, as visiting Bondurant-Farrar pulled away from a 1-0 halftime lead to claim a 5-0 win in their Raccoon River Conference meeting Tuesday at Dewey Field.

The Lady Jays scored in the 19th minutes when Olivia Denham fed a pass to a breaking Jessia Altman, who found the corner of the net.

The Jayettes (2-5, 0-3) fired just wide of the net twice in the first half and had three shots turned away by the B-F keeper.

A strong wind that increased as the game wore on began to blow in favor of the guests in the second half and they took full advantage, scoring four times to secure the victory.

Abbie Tidman had a goal and an assist in the second half, with Kody Fisher Erin Kruse and Denham also finding the back of the net.

Perry hosts Boone Thursday, with Des Moines Christian to visit Dewey Field Monday.
