The Maddie Cakes ovens had hardly cooled at 1014 Second St. before a new banner was hanging in the window, announcing the imminent arrival of the Lazy Goose.
Passersby may take a gander at the banner, which promises boba tea, frozen yogurt and “sweet treats,” with an opening date set for April, according to co-owner Marky Drahos of Perry.
The Lazy Goose name derives from the nickname of Drahos’ son Gustavo.
“He is widely known as goose,” Drahos said. “The Lazy Goose is going to be a relaxed environment for many families and friends of Perry and surrounding communities to enjoy.”
