HomeCare Services Inc. of Dallas County announced that after more than 50 years of offering services to Dallas County residents, we closed our doors Aug. 30, 2019, and filed for bankruptcy.
The origins of HomeCare Services Inc. of Dallas County began with the articles of incorporation signed Sept. 18, 1967, when the organization’s name was Dallas County Homemaker Health Aide. On July 8, 1968, the name was changed to Dallas County Homemaker Health Aide Services Inc.
It is with sadness that we made this announcement. HomeCare Services has had a positive impact on Dallas County communities for over 50 years. The in-home care, meal services and transportation services that we have offered will be missed in every community in Dallas County.
With the loss of funding from various sources and the rising cost of care, it became impossible for HCS of Dallas County to remain a sustainable organization. Our building, located at 101 N. Ninth St. in Adel, Iowa, is now for sale commercially.
