To the editor:
As a resident of Perry, I would like to weigh in on the local elections coming up. I am supporting Rep. Carter Nordman for re-election.
The representative we have is the representative we need. I have gotten to know both candidates in the race for Iowa House District 47, which includes all of Perry, and I can confidently say that Carter is the clear choice this election.
Carter not only cares deeply for his community but is an effective voice at the capitol who has a real understanding of the issues we all face. He doesn’t just talk the talk. He walks the walk.
When Perry needed help during this trying year, Carter delivered results. He worked hand in hand with our school board and city officials to ensure they had the resources they needed and the state support necessary to get back on its feet.
Even when we disagree, Carter always takes the time to listen. He is a person who values different perspectives and is committed to finding common ground. That’s the kind of leader we need in Des Moines – someone who understands our challenges, shares our values and is dedicated to making Perry a better place for everyone.
I will be proudly casting my vote to re-elect Carter Nordman to the Iowa House of Representatives on Nov. 5.!
