Memorial services for Linda Dawson, 63, of Perry will be 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17 at the First United Methodist Church in Perry. Visitation will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. prior to the service.
Linda passed away Monday, Oct. 8, 2018, at her home in Perry.
Linda Lee Payton was born July 9, 1955, in Perry, Iowa, the daughter of Lester L. and Twyla B. (Wills) Payton.
She attended Perry Community Schools and graduated from Perry High School with the class of 1973.
Linda married Randy L. Dawson on Feb. 15, 1986, in Perry.
Linda was a dedicated mother of two sons and a dedicated worker at the Woodward State Hospital School for 39 years before her retirement in August 2016.
Survivors include her husband, Randy Dawson of Perry; two sons, Tyler Dawson of Perry and Chalynn Dawson of Perry.
Preceding Linda in death were her parents; one sister, Judy McLuen; and nephew, Dave McLuen.
Memorials will be directed, in Linda’s name, to the John Stoddard Cancer Center. They may be sent to Murdock Funeral Home. On line condolences may be sent to murdockfuneralhome.net
