Flags over Perry were raised Saturday afternoon and lowered Tuesday evening in honor of Flag Day, the eighth annual cycle of the Old Glory program that is conducted by the Perry Lions Club and the Perry Optimist International Club.
For a $25 annual fee, the civic groups install a flag holder in the yard and raise the flag on five federal holidays: Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Labor Day and Veterans Day.
