Athletic directors from the Raccoon River Conference -- along with the WCAC -- are meeting to determine how to move forward on spectator attendance after most restrictions were lifted Thursday by Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds.

Despite a loosening of guidelines on those being allowed to attend high school sporting events by Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds, both the Raccoon River Conference and West Central Activities Conference have opted to keep the current restrictions in place.

The governor’s office is now allowing all immediate family members of players, coaches and team officials to attend events, but both the RRC and WCAC have not changed their stance.

The number of those attending events, in either conference, will remain two per participating athlete. Both leagues indicated they would review their attendance policies after the holiday break.

The WCAC will maintain their “two per player” admission policies, at least until schools return after the holiday break.
