Voters headed to the polls Tuesday throughout Dallas County-area school districts.

Voters in the Perry and Woodward-Granger school districts will have the opportunity to make their voices heard when elections are held Tuesday.

Voters in Perry will cast ballots at the McCreary Community Building, 1800 Pattee St.

Perry is an at-large district, meaning board directors can live anywhere in the district. Incumbents Kyle Baxter and Casey Baldwin are both running for re-election to four-year terms. No other candidates are on the ballot, but write-in candidates are allowed.

Baldwin was appointed to the board and took the seat of his late mother, Marjean Gries, in June. She was originally elected as a write-in candidate.

Baxter currently serves as president of the school board.

Polling places for the Woodward-Granger election are at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 1910 Locust St. in Granger and at the Woodward United Methodist Church, 108 W. Fifth St. in Woodward.

The W-G district is divided into five districts, with directors required to reside in the districts they represent.

The District 2 (city of Woodward) slot is currently open, with no candidate on the ballot. Several people have launched semi-official write-in candidacies.

Ashley Brandt is the only candidate on the ballot for District 4, which encompasses an area south and west of Woodward and to the west and slightly south of Granger.

Polls in Perry, Woodward and Granger will open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.
