Friday, Feb. 23 marks the 50th birthday of Lori Wulf of Perry, and her husband has some surprises in store for her.
“I want to make it one that she’ll never forget,” said Terry Wulf. “Because of everything she does for me, I’ve got to do something nice for her.”
The big five-oh is a milestone worth noting, Terry said, a cause for celebration for a woman who has met challenges and overcome obstacles.
“We’re not going to do a big, big party,” Terry said. “I’m just going to take her to dinner and her mom and dad up in Des Moines.”
Lori is the daughter of Jerry and Trudy Lambert of Perry. She and Terry lived for several years in Maxwell, Iowa, and moved back to Perry in 2015 to be closer to family.
“We can’t go anywhere without her knowing somebody,” Terry said. “She’s just so big a part of the community. She’s driving a bus, kind of following in her dad’s footsteps, plus she works up at DMACC as a secretary.”
