The Woodward-Granger High School is creating a Veterans Wall in order to honor students who enlisted in the U.S. military, and this week the Madrid AMVETS Post 210 donated $500 toward the project.

The Veterans Wall will stand in the commons area just outside the WGHS gym and will feature pictures of students in uniform and will indicate the military in which they served and the year they graduated.

All the donors to the Veterans Wall will be invited to attend a WGHS basketball game in January in order to be recognized for their support.

Celebrating the donation Monday were WGHS Principal Matt Lakis and Madrid AMVETS Post 210 members Adjutant Michael Nieland, Commander John Ruhland, Rick Brown and Jamie Bennett.
