Marburger chosen for Senior All-Star game

CEDAR RAPIDS — Perry guard Grace Marburger has been selected to play in the Iowa Girls Coaches Association Larry Niemeyer Senior All-Star Game Series. Marburger will play in the Class 4A/5A game April 1 at Kirkwood College.

Marburger scored 315 points this season (15 per game) while collecting 113 rebounds (5.3 rpg). She was 47-of-143 (32.9 percent) on 3-point attempts and shot 68-of-92 (73.9 percent) at the foul line. The senior finished with 67 assists, 41 steals and nine blocked shots.

Perry was 15-7 this season and 57-34 in Marburger’s four years, during which she was a regular fixture on the floor. She finishes with 829 career points and 257 rebounds while making 199 assists, coming away with 134 steals and blocking 22 shots. Marburger was a career 70 percent shooter at the free throw line (172-of-247) while hitting 139-of-437 (31.8 percent) from beyond the 3-point arc.

Statistics do not include final game of 2016 season and final game of 2017 season.
