Martha Carr, 70, of Dallas Center passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at the Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 16 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by a graveside service at the Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry at 10:30 a.m.

Martha Elaine Carr was born Feb. 13, 1948, at Shinnston, W.V., to Robert Loudin and Roxie Elaine (Hurst) Carder.
She attended the Shinnston Elementary and Shinnston High School.
Martha was united in marriage to Junior Carr in Lorain, Ohio, Feb. 14, 1985.
She worked in home healthcare and as certified nurse’s aide at Amhurst Manor in Amhurst, Ohio.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Shinnston.
She enjoyed riding motorcycles, spending time with family, cooking and loved to enjoy life. She especially loved spoiling her grandsons and great-granddaughters.
In death she rejoins her husband, Junior Carr; parents, Robert and Roxie Carder; siblings, Warren Carder in infancy, Cecil Hurst, Edwin Carder and Verda Roberts.
Left to cherish Martha’s memory are her children, Tammy Laymance of Woodward and Kevin Plunkett of Ankeny; grandsons, Steven (Sara) Laymance of Ottawa, Kan., and Michael (Chyenne) Laymance of Woodward; great-granddaughters, Marlee, Madison and Zoe Laymance; siblings, Edward (Darleen) Carder of Grimes, Thomas (Nelda) Carder of Avon Lake, Ohio, John Carder of Springfield, Ohio, and Robert (Bentura) Carder; and an abundance of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
