Maureen J. Hoskinson, 66, of Stuart passed away Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2020, in Zionsville, Indiana.

Maureen was born in Perry, Iowa, March 8, 1953.

She was raised and attended school in the Stuart area and graduated college from Iowa Statue University with a Bachelor of Arts.

Maureen worked for Girl Scouts, Headstart, Atterbury Job Corps, as a homemaker, landscaper, woodworker, nature photographer and farmer.

Maureen was a farmer by birth and profession, a Jane of all trades who loved her family and being outdoors. Her laughter was contagious and she never met a stranger, just a friend she didn’t know yet. She loved deeply and was so very loved.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Craig S. Hoskinson; her parents, Max and Lougene Powell; and her brother, Guy Powell.

She is survived by her sister, Christine Fieldbinder; her daughter, Audrey Hoskinson Starr; her son-in-law, Joshua Starr; and her grandchildren, Claire, Alex, and Oliver Starr of Zionsville, Indiana.

The family asks that donations be made in her name to the Audubon Society.

A celebration of life open house will be held Friday, Jan. 24 from 1-4 p.m. at The Depot, 204 E. Front St. in Stuart. All are welcome.
