The 14th annual McCreary Community Building annual holiday craft show drew some 20 vendors to the MCB gymnasium Saturday, with handmade items and popular brands for sale. The fair continues until 3 p.m.
The former Brenton Bank sponsored the event for 15 years as an early-October craft show, but the shows ceased after Wells Fargo acquired Brenton Banks Inc. in 2000. Bev Wesely of Perry revived the annual craft fair in 2005 and has been assisted by longtime Perry resident Jennifer Milne.
Among the vendors was Wesely’s granddaughter, Tara Wesely of Naples, Fla., and her great-granddaughter, Reese Baxter, 11, of Perry. Baxter was joined at the sales table by her classmate Kenadi Chayet, 11.
Joining the local artisans this year were several national brands, such as Scentsy and Tupperware. Trade appeared brisk.
