CARLISLE — Perry’s boys junior varsity completed a season sweep of Carlisle on the hardwood Thursday with a 65-40 victory. The Bluejay JV improved to 8-5 with the win, a mark that includes a 58-40 win over the visiting Wildcats Dec. 3.
Perry burst to a 16-7 lead after one quarter of play and held a 29-18 margin at the intermission. A 21-9 run over the third quarter put the game out of reach.
Dane McCarty exploded for Perry in the third, sinking four consecutive 3-pointers before adding a reverse layup and a final trey to score 17 uninterrupted points. He finished with 21 points.
Drew Levan added 14 points for Perry, with Reece Dunlap hitting for 11, Grant Eklund seven and Brandon Kenyon four. Devon Archer, Aaron Lockwood, Brandon Juarez and Devon Booth all had two points apiece for the Jays, with Tanner Duffy, Jake Prombo, Juma Bushiri and Luke Rathje also seeing playing time.
