A reunion concert will be staged Friday featuring Dr. Randy McCaulley, former superintendent of the Perry Community School District and now chief administrative officer for the Perry Lutheran Home, and Dr. David Swinton, former minister of the First United Methodist Church in Perry and now senior minister for Grace United Methodist Church in Des Moines.
McCaulley, Swinton and two other band mates, well-known Des Moines musicians Steve Dressel and Greg Freier, will come together to perform popular music from the 1950s, ’60s, and ’70s Friday, June 12 at Soumas Court in downtown Perry starting at 6 p.m. Soumas Court is next to the Raccoon River Valley Bicycle Co.
“It’s great to be playing together again,” said McCaulley of the band’s recent rehearsals. “We’ve shared our love of music for a long time, and it’s nice to have the opportunity to share it again with others in this special concert.”
The event is free and open to the public.
