Terry and Michelle McIntosh of Woodward were the first winners Sunday night of a Perry Optimist Club contest featuring free tickets to an Iowa Wolves basketball game.

The McIntoshes’ Facebook profile, Terry Missy McIntosh, was the first to answer correctly the question: When and where was the first official Optimist Club founded? by saying the first official Optimist Club was founded in Buffalo, N.Y. in 1911.

The McIntoshes were happy winners.

“We haven’t been to a Wolves game yet,” said Missy Terry, “but we went to several Iowa Energy games.”

The Iowa Wolves, a Western Conference G League team associated with the Minnesota Timberwolves, were formerly known as the Iowa Energy.

“We’re looking forward to seeing them play,” Missy Terry said.

The Perry Optimist Club has two more pairs of tickets to give away, so readers of ThePerryNews.com must be alert.
