Hundreds of holiday merrymakers filled the lobbies of the Raccoon Valley Bank in downtown Perry Thursday evening for the bank’s annual holiday party, catered by the Perry Hy-Vee.

Prime rib, smoked salmon and a variety of toothsome finger foods — including chocolate-covered strawberries — were consumed by the local lender’s many clients, friends and Perry-area business people at the two-hour gathering.

Pegasus TV-12 Program Director Keith Knoll and Pegasus volunteer Doug Wood took a break from chronicling Perry’s history long enough to tuck into the buffet.

“The prime rib was excellent again this year,” said Wood, who noted fellow Pegasus volunteer Dan Haymond and ThePerryNews.com sports editor Jeff Webster were conspicuous by their absence at this year’s soiree.
