The United Methodist Men, a monthly fellowship group of the First United Methodist Church in Perry, welcomed ThePerryNews.com team to their April meeting. The churchmen attending included Dick Lowe, Dan Haymond, Joe Royer, Bob Warner, Doug Wood and Paul Miller.
All the Methodist Men use email and are familiar with the internet, so they quickly grasped the value of an online newspaper for the Perry community.
“If Perry plays at home on a Tuesday night, then that’s when you’ll read about it in ThePerryNews.com,” said Sports Editor Jeff Webster, who has covered Perry sports for more than 10 years.
He said Perry’s newest online news source combines the immediacy of a radio station with the depth once found in a local newspaper.
“Reading is free and always will be,” said ThePerryNews.com Editor Jim Caufield. “Our advertising rates are also very reasonable. We offer regional coverage at local rates, and the site’s really taken off in the last few weeks. Everybody’s got a smart phone or tablet or computer nowadays, and sometimes all three. If this is who you want to reach with your product or service, ThePerryNews.com is your best choice for advertising.”
