Kaleb Olejniczak hands off to Zach Thompson for the anchor leg of the 4x800.

Great news for Bluejay fans, as the Perry boys will be sending both the 4×400 and 4×800 relay teams to the state track meet next week.

They will be joined by Reece Dunlap, who, as expected, qualified at-large in both the 100 and 200. Also running at state will be Adan Medina in the 400.

Jacob and Zach Thompson, Alex Long and Kaleb Olejniczak ran the 4×800 for Perry yesterday at Winterset, with Alexis Garrido, Jose Castellanos, Dunlap and Medina in the 4×400.

Emma Olejniczak  (400) and Taylor Lathrum  (shot put) will compete for the Jayettes.

Woodward-Granger will be represented by Johnnie Morgan, who won the 400 at their Class 2A meet in Van Meter.

ThePerryNews.com will have much more on both Perry and W-G track later this afternoon.
