More than 100 Minburn-area diners attended the American Legion Post 99 fish fry Friday evening.

The semi-annual fish fry hosted by the American Legion Post 99 of Minburn drew a steady crowd of diners Friday evening during the two-hour event.

For the cost of a free-will donation, donors dined on green beans, cheesy potatoes, French fries, cole slaw, a roll with butter and fresh codfish — or perhaps it was haddock — fried up by Post Commander Don Richardson and his crew of Legionnaires and served up steaming by Dallas County Sheriff Chad Leonard and fellow kitchen crew members Abbey Luellen and Mark Golightly.

A generous selection of desserts was also available.

Proceeds from the twice-yearly fundraiser support the Legion’s civic activities.
