Minburn house fire brings response from area agencies

MINBURN, Iowa — The Minburn Volunteer Fire Department responded to a house fire early Saturday that largely destroyed the 132-year-old structure.

No injuries were reported.

The blaze at 501 Baker St. was reported about 1 a.m. in the two-story house, owned by Anthony M. Knudson, according to county records.

The Minburn firefighters received mutual aid from the Adel Volunteer Fire Department, Bouton Volunteer Fire Department, Dallas Center Volunteer Fire Department and Woodward Volunteer Fire Department.

The Dallas County Sheriff’s office and Dallas County EMS also responded.
