The Minburn Public Library hosted a Day of Christmas Cheer Saturday, beginning with a soup-supper fundraiser for the Fourth of July festivities.

The community ate soup in the basement of the Minburn United Methodist Church before making its way to Meek Park to see the lighting of the holiday decorations. When the manger scene was alight, the community sang carols to celebrate.

Cookie decorating followed back at the church, where Mrs. Santa Claus put in an appearance in place of her husband, who was worn out from all the long day’s activities.
