Kristen Brianne Hansen, 38, of Minburn was arrested Sunday on charges of second-offense domestic abuse assault and felon in possession of a firearm.

A female felon from Minburn was arrested Sunday night after allegedly assaulting a Minburn man and possessing a firearm.

Kristen Brianne Hansen, 38, of 19003 Minburn Road, Minburn, was charged with second-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness and felon in possession of a firearm.

The incident began about 9:15 p.m. Sunday in the 19000 block of the Minburn Road, where a Dallas County Deputy Sheriff responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.

The victim told the deputy that Hansen allegedly “did grab” the victim “by the neck for a few seconds” and “also grabbed his headphones off of his head and threw them to the ground, causing them to shatter,” according to court records.

In the course of the investigation, Hansen allegedly “attempted to cover up a rifle that was seen inside her truck. The rifle was in plain view and located inside of her truck,” according to court records.

Hansen was convicted of a felony in 2003 and is legally proscribed from possessing a firearm.

Hansen is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $5,000 cash or surety bond. She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Sept. 23 in Dallas County District Court.

Hansen was convicted of assault in April in Dallas County District Court.
